Delta Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
A full Delta kitchen remodel in Los Angeles runs $16,520 to $53,100, depending on whether you’re reworking the layout, replacing cabinetry, or just refreshing surfaces and fixtures. Most homeowners call us when a Delta faucet or fixture has leaked one too many times, the finish is worn through, or they’ve realized the whole kitchen needs more than a part swap. The frustrating part is usually this: you bought Delta because it’s supposed to last, and now you’re wondering if it’s worth fixing or if it’s time to gut the room and start clean. We’ve done both a thousand times.
We’re Sawyer Remodeling, an independent Los Angeles general contractor. We’re not affiliated with Delta, but we’ve worked on more Delta-equipped kitchens in this city than we can count, from Silver Lake bungalows to West Adams remodels to Highland Park flips. Since 2005, under The Relay Standard, every job gets a written price before tools come out, live arrival tracking, and before-and-after photo updates. No surprises at the invoice.
Which Delta Models This Applies To

Delta’s kitchen lineup splits into three rough tiers, and the tier matters when you’re deciding whether to repair or replace. The Foundations and Classic series (think faucets sold at big-box stores for $80-$200) use plastic cartridges and zinc bodies. They work fine for a while, but after 6-8 years of daily Los Angeles hard water, the cartridges seize and the finish starts pitting. The Trinsic, Leland, and Cassidy series are mid-range, with brass bodies and Diamond Seal ceramic cartridges that hold up far better. The Victorian, Zura, and Commercial series are the top end, built for 20-plus years of use.
The compatibility gotcha we see constantly: a Delta faucet’s finish name is not standardized across series. “Champagne Bronze” on a Trinsic is not the same alloy or tone as “Champagne Bronze” on a Cassidy, and they will not match side by side. If you’re replacing a deck plate or sprayer head, bring the old part or a photo of the model number sticker, which is typically on the cold-water supply line or under the handle. For complete kitchen remodels, we stock Delta-compatible rough-in valves and supply lines on our trucks, along with full fixture lines from Kohler, Moen, and Grohe if you want to compare. We also carry KraftMaid and Wellborn cabinetry, plus Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone surfaces, so the whole room can come from named brands with manufacturer backing, never mystery suppliers.

Signs Your Delta Kitchen Is Failing
- The faucet drips from the spout after you shut it off. That’s usually a worn cartridge seat or degraded O-ring. On older Delta models with plastic internals, this is the first thing to go, and hard LA water accelerates it by leaving mineral scale on the sealing surfaces.
- The handle sticks, grinds, or requires force to move. Mineral buildup inside the cartridge body, or a cartridge that’s been overheated by a too-hot water tank setting. Forcing it further scores the cartridge walls and turns a $40 part into a full faucet replacement.
- The pull-down sprayer droops or won’t retract. The counterweight slipped or the hose is binding inside the cabinet. On Delta models with a magnetic dock, the magnet housing cracks after enough yanks, and the sprayer hangs loose.
- Finish is flaking or pitting around the base and handles. Los Angeles water is moderately hard, typically 7-10 grains per gallon depending on your neighborhood. Over years, that mineral load etches the clear coat on Delta’s PVD finishes, and once it’s through, the base metal corrodes underneath.
- Water pressure at the faucet drops while other fixtures run fine. The aerator screen is clogged with sediment, or the supply line is kinked. Easy fix if caught early, but if it’s the integrated check valve inside the body, you’re opening the faucet up.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Los Angeles, a straightforward Delta faucet or fixture swap runs $945 to $3,540 installed, including the part, labor, and disposal of the old unit. If the failure exposed water damage under the sink, inside the cabinet base, or behind the backsplash, the job shifts into a targeted remodel: cabinet repair or replacement runs $4,720 to $15,340, countertop work $2,360 to $7,670, and a full kitchen remodel lands between $16,520 and $53,100 depending on layout, materials, and whether we’re moving plumbing or gas lines.

DIY or Call Us?
You can check a few things safely: confirm the shutoff valves under the sink actually turn (many are frozen open after years), look for an obvious kink in the sprayer hose, and clean the aerator screen with vinegar if you have basic tools. That’s where DIY should stop. Faucet internals on Delta models mean working in a tight cabinet with supply lines under pressure, and if a connection lets go, you’ve got an open line dumping water into a Los Angeles kitchen with no floor drain. That’s a flood, not a chore. Call (254) 272-5876 and we’ll match the part, bring it with us, and have it swapped before you’d finish reading the installation manual.
Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch – it just needs to be done right.
FAQs

A mid-range Delta faucet with a brass body and Diamond Seal cartridge typically lasts 10-15 years in Los Angeles before the finish shows wear or the cartridge seats degrade; budget Foundations models often need cartridge work by year 6-8 due to hard water scale. Your water heater temperature and household usage move that number either way. Call (254) 272-5876 for an exact look at yours.
Yes, in most cases we can rebuild a Delta faucet with a new cartridge, O-rings, and sprayer assembly for under $350 in parts, assuming the body and finish are intact. If the body is corroded or the finish is failing, replacement is cheaper than chasing seals. Call (254) 272-5876 and we’ll tell you straight which one makes sense.
A fixture-only swap takes one visit, usually under two hours. A full kitchen remodel in Los Angeles runs 4-10 weeks depending on layout changes, cabinet lead times, and whether we’re pulling permits for plumbing or electrical work. We keep you updated with before-and-after photos and live arrival times under The Relay Visibility Guarantee.
We stock common Delta cartridges, sprayer assemblies, supply lines, and aerators for mid-range and high-end series, plus we can source any Delta part same-day or next-day through our Los Angeles suppliers. If it’s a discontinued Delta model, we’ll match an OEM-equivalent part and confirm compatibility before we install.
