Blanco Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
If your Blanco sink, faucet, or accessory has failed and you’re weighing a full kitchen remodel around it, the installed cost for a Blanco-centered kitchen remodel in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 depending on cabinet scope, countertop material, and whether you’re keeping your existing Blanco sink or replacing it. Sawyer Remodeling stocks Blanco-compatible mounting hardware, sink clips, drain assemblies, and faucet supply lines on our trucks, and we can assess the part during the same visit. Most Los Angeles homeowners discover a Blanco problem the hard way: a slow leak under the sink, a faucet that drips at the base, a soap dispenser that won’t pump, or a sink that’s started to pull away from the counter because the undermount clips corroded.
Quick answer: if the Blanco part is isolated and the cabinet and countertop are still solid, you’re looking at a $175 to $600 repair. If the failure means replacing the sink and the countertop that carries it, the project enters full remodel territory and the $16,520 to $53,100 range applies. This page gives you the exact decision framework we use on job sites across Los Angeles, from Silver Lake to Brentwood to the Valley.
Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco’s US lineup splits into three families that show up constantly in Los Angeles kitchens: the Blanco Performa series (entry-to-mid tier, Silgranit composite and stainless), the Blanco Diamond series (undermount single and double bowls, often paired with quartz), and the Blanco Culina series (faucet and sink combos sold through big-box and kitchen showrooms). Each series has a different mounting system, and that matters more than most homeowners expect. A Performa Silgranit sink uses a flat-rim undermount clip that grabs the composite edge from below, while Diamond stainless models need a stud-and-clamp setup that tolerates the thinner gauge steel.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha we see weekly in Los Angeles: Blanco’s 3.5-inch drain opening is standard, but the drain collar depth changed on models manufactured after 2018. If you’re swapping a drain or replacing a disposal flange on an older Performa, the new collar may sit slightly proud and need a thicker gasket. The label you need is on the underside of the sink bowl (a white sticker with the model code, usually starting with “5” for Performa or “4” for Diamond) or on the faucet base under the handle. OEM Blanco parts carry a 2-year warranty. Quality aftermarket equivalents, like Keeney or Plumb Pak mounting clips and BrassCraft supply lines, run 40 to 60 percent less and we’ve installed hundreds without a callback. Whether OEM or aftermarket makes sense depends on the part: for drain assemblies and clips, aftermarket is fine; for faucet cartridges, we spec OEM every time because Blanco’s ceramic disc tolerances are tight.

Signs Your Blanco Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Sink edges pulling away from the counter. You’ll see a hairline gap between the sink rim and the underside of the stone. The cause is almost always corroded undermount clips – Blanco’s early steel clips rust in coastal Los Angeles humidity, especially in Venice, Santa Monica, and Playa del Rey homes, and once two or three fail the sink starts to sag.
- Faucet drips at the base, not the spout. That means the o-ring seals inside the faucet body have hardened from LA’s hard water. The cartridge may still be fine. Rebuilding the base seal is a $75 to $150 fix; replacing the whole faucet starts around $300 installed.
- Silgranit sink showing white chalky streaks. This is not a warranty defect. LA’s mineral-heavy water etches the composite surface over time. Blanco sells a conditioning oil restoration kit, and we can do that surface restoration in about 45 minutes as part of a larger remodel quote.
- Soap dispenser seized or won’t refill from above. The stem o-ring on Blanco’s dispenser dries out and locks the pump. Sometimes a new pump head is all it needs; if the internal tube cracked, the whole dispenser gets swapped.
- Sink drains slow and gurgles even after snaking. On Performa and Diamond sinks we often find the tailpiece gasket flattened from years of hot water and bleach-based cleaners. That gasket is a $12 part, but it sits in a spot that also means checking the P-trap alignment while we’re under there.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

If the Blanco part is the only issue, here’s what installed repair pricing looks like in Los Angeles right now: faucet cartridge replacement $175 to $350, full faucet replacement $300 to $800 (depending on model and finish), sink re-clipping and re-sealing $250 to $500, and drain assembly replacement $150 to $300. If the sink itself is cracked or you’re tired of the layout, a kitchen remodel that keeps Blanco as the sink brand runs $16,520 to $53,100 in Los Angeles depending on cabinet scope, countertop stone, and whether walls or plumbing move.
Every quote from Sawyer Remodeling includes the part number, the labor line, and the final number in writing before we start. There’s no change order surprise, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the repair for a full year. If the same Blanco part fails inside that window, we come back and fix it at no charge. The written price you approve is the invoice you pay, period.
DIY or Call Us?
Let’s be straight: swapping a Blanco faucet cartridge or tightening a loose drain nut is something a handy Los Angeles homeowner can do in an afternoon if the shutoff valves under the sink work. If the valves are frozen (they usually are in homes built before 1990), that’s where DIY goes sideways – one snapped angle stop means water shut off at the main and an emergency call anyway. Undermount sink re-clipping is not a DIY job. You’re working from below the counter, lifting a 40-pound sink into position against wet sealant, and if a clip isn’t seated the sink can drop. We’d rather you call us at (254) 272-5876 before that happens.
For most Los Angeles homeowners with a failing Blanco part, the math works like this: if the kitchen is otherwise fine and you like the layout, repair the part. If you’re already planning new cabinets or countertops within two years, fold the Blanco work into the remodel and do it once.
FAQs

A Blanco Silgranit composite sink typically lasts 15 to 20 years, and the stainless Diamond series 20 or more, but the mounting hardware and faucet internals wear faster because of Los Angeles hard water – figure 8 to 12 years before you’ll do a cartridge or clip repair. Call us at (254) 272-5876 if you’re not sure which part is actually failing.
Small scratches and chips can be filled and color-matched, but a structural crack that runs through the bowl cannot be reliably repaired – that sink needs to come out, and if it’s undermounted you’re also looking at countertop work. Call (254) 272-5876 and we’ll tell you honestly which side of that line your sink sits on.
Most single-part repairs, like a faucet cartridge or drain assembly replacement, take 60 to 90 minutes. A sink re-clip and re-seal runs about half a day. If you’re adding the work into a full kitchen remodel, we schedule it as part of the countertop installation window. Call (254) 272-5876 for a time estimate on your specific part.
We carry the common wear items – drain assemblies, mounting clips, supply lines, and faucet cartridges for the Performa and Diamond series – on our trucks, and we can source most other Blanco parts from our Los Angeles suppliers within one to two days. If you also need parts for KraftMaid cabinets, Cambria or Silestone countertops, we keep those covered too.
