Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
A full Caesarstone bathroom remodel in Los Angeles typically runs $10,620 to $33,040 installed, and most projects take two to four weeks from demo to final fixture. That number covers everything from the Caesarstone vanity top and shower surround through waterproofing, plumbing, tile work, and the finished trim. We stock Caesarstone slabs and prefabricated panels locally, so we can usually start measuring your bathroom within a few days of your call.
The way most owners discover they need this work is quietly unglamorous: a hairline crack runs from the sink cutout toward the back edge. Or the seam where two Caesarstone panels meet starts catching soap scum and won’t scrub clean. Maybe the shower curb was never properly sloped and water pools in one corner. None of this is a Caesarstone defect, by the way. It’s almost always what happened underneath the stone: a cabinet that settled, a waterproofing layer that failed, or an install that cut corners. The stone just shows the problem first.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

We work with the full Caesarstone catalog that’s currently available in Southern California: the Classic, Supernatural, Metropolitan, and Outdoor series. The model number matters less than two physical facts we check on site: slab thickness and finish. Caesarstone runs 1.2 cm, 2 cm, and 3 cm thicknesses, and a 2 cm slab set over old plywood behaves very differently in a wet bathroom than a 3 cm slab on a proper mortar bed. Finish matters just as much. The honed and matte finishes are more porous at the micro level than the polished ones, so they demand a better waterproofing detail behind them, especially in a steam shower.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most Los Angeles homeowners don’t know until it’s too late: Caesarstone discontinued several color codes in the 2010s, and the replacement slabs sold today under similar names (think “Pure White” vs the older “Blizzard”) are not the same color batch. If you’re replacing one vanity panel and hoping to match an existing Caesarstone sink or backsplash, we need a physical sample, not a photo. We’ll cut a small corner from the old piece if it’s already cracked, or we’ll use a color-matching kit against the existing slab. We’re an independent contractor, not a Caesarstone dealer, which means we’ll tell you honestly when a panel can’t be matched and you’re better off replacing the whole run.

Signs Your Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Cracks radiating from the sink or faucet cutouts. This is the classic failure. It usually means the cabinet beneath the Caesarstone has shifted or the original cutout left too little stone at the corners, which is where the stress concentrates.
- Water wicking up the bottom edge of the shower curb or vanity toe kick. Caesarstone itself doesn’t absorb water, but the seam where it meets the floor will. If the silicone bead there has gone dull or separated, moisture is getting into the subfloor every single shower.
- A seam that grows darker or greenish along one line. That’s mildew feeding on moisture trapped in the seam adhesive. It means the original seam was cut too tight with no expansion allowance, common in LA bathrooms that see big temperature swings between morning and afternoon.
- Hollow-sounding spots when you tap the shower bench or threshold. If the stone wasn’t fully bedded in thinset or adhesive, you’ll hear a dead, hollow knock. Those voids are where the slab will eventually crack when someone sits on it or steps directly onto it.
- Dark staining at the sink overflow or around the drain ring. This points to a failed drain gasket or a sink that was never properly sealed to the Caesarstone deck. The stone isn’t failing; the plumbing connection beneath it is.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a Los Angeles bathroom remodel where Caesarstone is the primary surface, here’s the price picture in plain numbers:
- Caesarstone vanity top, standard 48-inch single sink: $1,180 – $2,950 installed, depending on finish and edge profile
- Full guest bath remodel with Caesarstone vanity, new fixtures, tile: $10,620 – $23,600
- Primary bath remodel with Caesarstone shower surrounds, bench, double vanity: $17,700 – $33,040
- Walk-in shower rebuild with Caesarstone threshold and panels: $5,310 – $14,160
What drives the spread is whether we’re pulling the old waterproofing out or just surfacing over a solid one, how much plumbing needs to move, and whether you want a single slab or bookmatched panels. Every quote includes the slab, the fabrication, the demo, the waterproofing underneath, the install, and the finished silicone. All of it is in a written price before we start. If it’s not right, the 365-Day Done Right Promise means we come back and make it right, no invoice.
DIY or Call Us?
Safe to check yourself: feel around the sink for movement, look for hairline cracks in the Caesarstone, press gently on the shower threshold to see if it rocks, and run a fingernail along every seam to check for gaps. Those are all no-risk diagnostics.
What you shouldn’t do is pull a cracked slab or a failed drain ring yourself. A Caesarstone vanity top can weigh 150 pounds or more, and when it’s cracked it can shift while you’re lifting. The bigger issue is what’s beneath it: if the waterproofing was done wrong the first time, surface fixes won’t help. You need the whole layer rebuilt. That’s the job. Luca Romano has spent over two decades in LA bathrooms, and he’ll tell you straight: good work doesn’t need a sales pitch, it just needs to be done right. If you’re not sure whether you need a repair or a full remodel, call (254) 272-5876 and we’ll walk through what you’re seeing.
FAQs

Caesarstone in a properly waterproofed bathroom lasts 20 to 30 years or more; the stone itself doesn’t fail, but the seams, silicone, and waterproofing beneath it realistically need refreshing every 8 to 12 years in Los Angeles humidity conditions. Call (254) 272-5876 if you’re seeing seam separation or mildew lines, and we’ll tell you whether you need a repair or a rebuild.
A single clean crack can sometimes be filled and color-matched if the slab is stable, but cracks that run from a sink cutout or that show movement mean the substrate has failed and the repair won’t hold. We’ll give you an honest read on site, and if repair makes sense, the written price covers the full fix.
Most full bathroom remodels with Caesarstone surfaces take two to four weeks, with the Caesarstone fabrication itself taking 5 to 10 business days after measurements; we handle the scheduling so you’re never waiting on a subcontractor. Call (254) 272-5876 for a project timeline based on your specific bathroom.
We stock Caesarstone slabs and prefabricated panels locally in Los Angeles, plus the matching silicone, seam adhesives, and edge profiles, so we don’t have to wait on a distributor for most jobs. If your specific color is a discontinued code, we’ll tell you at the first visit and show you current Caesarstone options that match or complement it.
