Kohler Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
Kohler kitchen remodeling in Los Angeles typically runs $16,520 to $53,100 installed, depending on how much of your existing layout you’re changing and which Kohler fixtures, sinks, and faucets you’re building around. We stock Kohler-compatible parts on our trucks and can usually diagnose a failed faucet cartridge, a leaking pot filler, or a sink flange issue the same day we arrive. Most Los Angeles homeowners discover they need us when a dripping Kohler faucet turns into a visible leak under the sink, or when a kitchen remodel they’re planning gets stuck because their existing Kohler fixtures don’t match the new counter depth or cabinet layout.
If you’ve got a Kohler kitchen fixture that’s failed, or you’re planning a full kitchen remodel around Kohler products you already own, here’s what you need to know before you spend a dollar.
Which Kohler Models This Applies To

We work across most Kohler kitchen lines sold in the Los Angeles market: the Simplice, Bellera, Crue, and Artifacts faucet collections, plus the Stages and Riverby sink lines. Each has its own quirk. The Artifacts, for example, uses a distinctive side spray mechanism and a specific ceramic disc cartridge that doesn’t interchange with the Simplice. If you try a generic cartridge on an Artifacts faucet, it’ll almost always drip within weeks.
Your faucet’s model number is usually stamped on a small tag under the sink or etched into the base of the spout. Take a photo of it before you call, if you can. For sinks, the cutout template is what matters most: Kohler’s Riverby has a different flange offset than the Stages, and if you’re installing a new countertop, the fabricator needs that template before they cut the stone. We’re an independent service provider and not affiliated with Kohler, but we’ve installed and serviced enough of their lines that we can match OEM parts or, when it makes sense, point you to a quality aftermarket equivalent that costs 30 to 50 percent less and performs the same. For wear items like O-rings and sprayer hoses, aftermarket is almost always the better call. For ceramic cartridges, go OEM, always. The tolerances matter and the cheap ones fail in hard water.

Signs Your Kohler Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Faucet drips after the handle is off. This is almost always a worn ceramic disc cartridge. In Los Angeles, hard water deposits accelerate the wear. A new OEM cartridge usually fixes it in under an hour.
- Water pressure drops at the sink only. Your aerator is clogged with mineral buildup, or the supply lines have kinked. We see this constantly in older Los Angeles homes with original 1960s plumbing.
- Water pools at the base of the spout. The O-rings on the spout body have dried out. That’s normal after five to eight years, faster if your water is hard. It’s a cheap part, but the labor to get it right matters.
- Sink won’t drain or drains slowly. This may not be the sink’s fault, but we see lots of Kohler undermount sinks in Los Angeles that were installed with the basket strainer cross-threaded or over-tightened, which warps the flange.
- Counter seams opening around the sink. In Los Angeles, seasonal heat and occasional seismic shifts cause movement. If your Kohler sink was installed without proper reinforcement underneath, the stress cracks the stone or opens the seam. That’s a bigger fix, and one worth doing before water gets underneath.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A full Kohler kitchen remodel in Los Angeles runs $16,520 to $53,100. The spread is driven by cabinet quality, countertop material, how much plumbing has to move, and whether we’re fixing walls or relocating gas and electrical. Smaller jobs, meaning a cabinet reface and updating fixtures without moving walls or plumbing, start around $10,620. A new sink and faucet installed, with supply lines and drain work, is typically in the $945 to $2,360 range depending on access.
What’s included in our number:
- Written price before work starts. Not an estimate that changes when we open the wall. A written line-item price you approve first.
- All parts, Kohler brand or agreed equivalent, listed on the line items.
- Labor, haul-away, and cleanup.
- The 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. In writing, on every job.
Good work doesn’t need a sales pitch – it just needs to be done right. That’s how we’ve handled Kohler kitchens in Los Angeles for nearly two decades, and it’s why half our jobs come from past clients calling back.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely clear a clogged aerator yourself: unscrew it, soak it in vinegar, brush it with an old toothbrush, reinstall it. You can also check under the sink for loose supply lines or a worn O-ring you can see. That’s about where we’d draw the line. Cartridge swaps seem simple until the retaining clip breaks, or the old cartridge won’t come out without a puller, or you strip the brass threads on the valve body and now you’re replacing the whole faucet. Sink replacement and countertop work should not be DIY’d, ever. A Kohler cast-iron sink weighs over 100 pounds and if it drops mid-install, the damage is several times the cost of having us do it right from the start. If you’re in Los Angeles and the part has you stuck, call (254) 272-5876. We’ll tell you over the phone whether it’s a quick fix or needs a service visit, and the visit is free to price.
FAQs

A Kohler kitchen faucet typically lasts 10 to 15 years in Los Angeles, though hard water in areas like the Valley and parts of the Westside can cut cartridge life to five or six years before you notice a drip. Call (254) 272-5876 and we can replace just the cartridge instead of the whole faucet, which saves real money.
Yes, in most cases a leaking Kohler faucet just needs a new cartridge, O-rings, or a sprayer hose, and that’s a repair, not a replacement. If the valve body is corroded or the finish is worn through, replacement becomes the smarter call. Call (254) 272-5876 for a straight answer and a written price.
A faucet or sink swap usually takes one day, sometimes less if we’re just replacing a cartridge or a sprayer. A full kitchen remodel with Kohler fixtures runs three to eight weeks depending on cabinets and countertops. We will give you a schedule up front and live photo updates throughout.
Yes, our Los Angeles trucks carry common Kohler cartridges, O-rings, sprayer hoses, and strainer baskets for the Simplice, Bellera, Crue, and Artifacts lines. If you need a less common part, we order it and usually have it installed within a week. We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone products on full remodels.
No. The price we put in writing before we start is the price you pay, unless you change the scope. If we open the wall and find something we couldn’t have seen, we stop, show you a photo, and agree on a new written price with you before touching anything else. That is The Relay Standard, and it’s not optional on any Kohler remodel we do in Los Angeles.
