Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
We install and repair Tremron-compatible driveway pavers across Los Angeles, with most installed jobs landing between $8,260 and $21,240 depending on square footage, paver style, and what’s underneath the surface. Most owners discover a failing paver driveway the same way: a paver sinks an inch in one corner after a rain, a crack snakes across three pavers that used to sit flush, or the sand between joints washes out and weeds start finding room to grow. The good news is Tremron pavers are modular, so you rarely replace the whole driveway. You replace the section that failed, reset the base, and the fix disappears into the pattern.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures concrete pavers in several lines, and the ones we see most often on Los Angeles driveways are the Holland stone, the Olde Towne paver, and the Mega line for heavier vehicle loads. The identifying mark is usually stamped on the bottom of a pulled paver or printed on the pallet ticket from the original install. What matters more than the model name is the thickness. Driveway pavers need to be at least 60mm thick to handle vehicle weight. Patio pavers at 40mm or 50mm will crack under a parked SUV within a few years. We see that exact mistake on older LA homes where a previous owner bought patio-grade Tremron pavers to save money on the driveway. Sawyer Remodeling is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Tremron, but we work with their compatibility specs daily and stock common replacement units in our LA yard.
OEM Tremron pavers are your safest match for color and texture because concrete pavers weather and fade together as a batch. A different production run from a different lot can look close on day one and clearly off by year three under LA sun. Aftermarket equivalents work fine structurally if the dimensions and compressive strength match, but for face-visible repairs we recommend staying with Tremron units whenever the original installer left records.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Sinking or lippage at the edges. A paver that drops a quarter inch below its neighbor usually means the sand bedding has washed out underneath, often from gutter downspouts pointed at the driveway edge. Left alone, the surrounding pavers start tilting and the problem spreads.
- Hairline cracks across multiple pavers in a row. That’s a base layer failure, not a paver failure. The pavers are cracking because the compacted base beneath them has settled unevenly, and the pavers are now bridging a gap they were never designed to span.
- Sand disappearing from joints after every rain. LA’s dry-wet cycle is hard on paver sand. Once the sand washes out, pavers lose lateral support and start shifting. You’ll see it first on slopes or anywhere water sheets across the surface.
- White chalky residue on the paver surface. That’s efflorescence, and while it doesn’t signal structural failure, it usually means water is moving through the paver from below, which points to drainage issues in the base.
- Weeds pushing up between pavers. Weeds don’t cause failure, they reveal it. A properly sanded and sealed paver joint leaves no room for weeds to root, so their presence means the joints have been compromised for a while.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a paver driveway in Los Angeles, installed replacement runs $8,260 to $21,240. The biggest cost drivers are square footage, the condition of the existing base, and whether you’re repairing a section or replacing the whole driveway. A section repair where the base is still solid can run on the lower end of the range. A full replacement on a driveway where the old base was never compacted properly means hauling out everything and starting from grade, which pushes toward the higher end.
Every quote includes the pavers, sand, base material if needed, labor, and haul-away of the old material. We put the price in writing before any work starts, so the number you approve is the number on the invoice. Every repair carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, backed in writing.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely replace a single cracked paver yourself if you have a matching spare and the base beneath it is still solid. Pull the old paver with two flathead screwdrivers, check that the sand bed is still level, and drop the new one in. That’s a 20-minute job. The danger zone is anything involving a shifting base, multiple cracked pavers, or drainage corrections, because pulling pavers off a failing base without recompacting properly will make the problem worse, not better. You’ll re-set the pavers, they’ll look fine for six months, and then the same cracks come back. If you see cracks across a row or a dip larger than a half inch, call us at (254) 272-5876 and we’ll tell you straight what you’re looking at.
FAQs

Tremron concrete pavers installed on a properly compacted base with good drainage typically last 25 to 40 years in Los Angeles before needing significant work. What shortens that lifespan is water getting under the pavers through failed joints or poor grading, which is why we spend more time talking about base prep than paver selection. Call (254) 272-5876 if you want us to look at your base condition before you replace anything.
Yes, and that’s our default recommendation when the surrounding pavers and base are still sound. We can match the existing pattern, color-match to the weathered surface as closely as production lots allow, and blend the repair so it doesn’t read as a patch. The one caveat is color: sun-faded pavers will never match a brand-new replacement exactly, but we can often use reclaimed pavers from the same driveway to shave the difference. Call us at (254) 272-5876 for a straight assessment of your section versus full replacement math.
A section repair with a solid base is usually done in one to two days, depending on access and the size of the section. A full replacement on an average Los Angeles driveway takes three to five working days, including demolition, base compaction, paver setting, and final sanding. You’ll have a live arrival time and photo updates before we show up, so you’re never guessing when the crew hits the driveway. Call (254) 272-5876 to schedule a free estimate.
We stock the most common Tremron paver profiles and colors at our LA yard, including Holland stone and Olde Towne in the greys and terracotta tones you see most around Los Angeles homes. If your paver is a discontinued color or an odd lot, we can source it through our regional supplier network, usually within a week. Estimates are free, so call (254) 272-5876 and we’ll check inventory while you’re on the phone.
