Tremron Kitchen Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
If you have a Tremron kitchen and something’s failed, we can get it fixed. Sawyer Remodeling installs and services Tremron kitchen components across Los Angeles, with most parts matched and priced within 24 hours. A full Tremron kitchen remodel in Los Angeles runs $16,520 to $53,100 depending on cabinet layout, countertop material, and how much of the existing plumbing and electrical has to move. Most owners call us after discovering a cracked countertop seam, drawers that jam, or cabinet boxes that have started to pull away from the wall.
Here’s the good news: a failing part doesn’t usually mean a full kitchen replacement. Often it’s one cabinet run, one section of countertop, or a handful of drawers and hinges. We diagnose the specific component, match it to your Tremron model, and price the repair honestly, whether that’s a few hundred dollars in hardware or a larger replacement. No inflated “kitchen overhaul” pitch when a targeted fix does the job.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron kitchens span a range of cabinet lines and countertop integrations, and the part you need depends on which series you have. We work with the full Tremron cabinet catalog, including the builder-grade line typically installed in newer Los Angeles condos and townhomes, plus their mid-tier and premium lines found in single-family remodels from the last 10 to 15 years.
The fastest way to identify your Tremron model is to check the inside of a drawer box or the back of a cabinet door. Tremron stamps a model code and manufacture date there, usually a 6-digit number starting with “T” or “KT.” If the sticker’s worn off, measure the cabinet face width and the drawer slide length. Standard Tremron drawer slides run 14, 16, or 18 inches, and the cabinet hinge bore spacing is either 35mm or 42mm depending on the series. Get those two measurements and we can usually match the part before we even see it.
One compatibility gotcha worth knowing: Tremron changed their hinge cup design in 2018. Earlier models used a 35mm cup with a 9mm depth. Newer models use a deeper 11.5mm cup. If you buy the wrong hinge, the door won’t sit flush no matter how you adjust it. We keep both versions on our trucks because this mistake is that common.
On the OEM versus aftermarket question: Tremron OEM hinges and slides are solid, but they’re not always the best value. Blum and Grass make direct-fit aftermarket replacements that often outlast the originals at a lower price. We’ll quote both and tell you which makes more sense for your kitchen’s age and how you use it.

Signs Your Tremron Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Drawers that bind or catch mid-slide. This is almost always a worn slide or a bent track. On Tremron cabinets, the nylon roller inside the slide degrades over time, especially in kitchens near the coast where salt air accelerates wear. Catching it early means replacing the slide, not the whole drawer box.
- Cabinet doors that sag or won’t close square. The hinge cup loosens inside the door’s drilled hole, or the hinge arm bends. On Tremron’s older 35mm hinges, the screw anchors eventually strip out of the particleboard. A door that’s off by a quarter inch is a hinge problem, not a cabinet problem.
- Countertop seams opening or cracking at the sink cutout. Los Angeles heat cycles, plus the constant expansion and contraction from an under-mounted sink, stress Tremron’s engineered stone seams. A seam that opens more than 1/16 inch is a sign the adhesive has failed, and water is working its way toward the cabinet below.
- Soft-close drawers slamming shut. The damper inside the slide burns out. These are single-use components; once the hydraulic seal fails, there’s no rebuilding it. The good news is a replacement slide is a 15-minute swap.
- Cabinet boxes pulling away from the wall or separating at the corners. This is the most serious sign. It usually means the mounting screws were driven into drywall only, not studs, or the cabinet’s internal braces have failed from years of heavy cookware. Left alone, a separated cabinet box can pull down tile, countertop, and everything above it.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Part-specific repair costs in Los Angeles vary by what failed. Here’s what we typically see:
| Repair Type | Typical Los Angeles Range |
|---|---|
| Drawer slide replacement (pair) | $95 – $225 installed |
| Hinge replacement (set of 4 – 6) | $85 – $210 installed |
| Cabinet door replacement | $120 – $350 per door |
| Countertop seam repair | $300 – $850 |
| Full countertop replacement (Tremron-compatible) | $2,360 – $7,670 |
| Full cabinet replacement | $4,720 – $15,340 |
| Complete kitchen remodel | $16,520 – $53,100 |
Every quote includes the part cost, the labor to install it, and disposal of the old component. We hand you a written price before any work starts, and that’s the number you pay. No surprise line items at the end. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the replacement: if the part fails or the install wasn’t right within a full year, we make it right on our dime. That’s in writing, every time.
For the Los Angeles market specifically, expect to pay on the higher end of these ranges if you’re in neighborhoods like Silver Lake, West Hollywood, or Brentwood where parking for our trucks and access to the building adds time. Kitchens on the first floor with direct entry run faster and quote lower.
DIY or Call Us?
Some Tremron repairs are genuinely homeowner-friendly. Replacing a drawer slide or a hinge is a screwdriver-level job if you have the right replacement part in hand. Adjusting a misaligned door is a two-minute fix with a Phillips head. If that’s all it is, and you’re comfortable doing it, go for it.
What we’d caution against: countertop seam work, any cabinet box that’s separated from the wall, or anything involving plumbing or electrical connections through the cabinetry. A botched seam repair lets water into the base cabinet, which turns a $400 fix into a $4,000 replacement. And a cabinet box that’s pulling away from the wall is carrying structural load; if it lets go while you’re underneath it, you’re getting hurt.

FAQs

Tremron cabinet boxes and doors typically last 15 to 20 years in LA’s dry climate, based on what we’ve seen removing kitchens across the city. Drawer slides and hinges last 7 to 12 years depending on use. Countertops can go 25-plus years if seams are maintained. Coastal neighborhoods like Santa Monica and Playa del Rey knock a few years off all of those numbers because of airborne salt. If you’re past year 15 on original hardware, expect to replace slides and hinges within the next couple of years. Call (254) 272-5876 and we’ll tell you if it’s worth repairing or time to replace.
Hinges and drawer slides can’t be repaired productively; once the internal components fail, replacement is the only reliable fix. Countertop seams can sometimes be re-glued and re-clamped if the damage is minor. Cabinet boxes can be reinforced with internal bracing if the separation is caught early. If you want an honest assessment of whether that specific part is worth saving, call us at (254) 272-5876. We’ll look at photos or schedule a visit, and we won’t sell you a replacement you don’t need.
Most hinge and slide replacements take 30 to 60 minutes on site. A single cabinet door replacement runs one to two hours including fitting and alignment. Countertop seam repair takes two to three hours including cure time. Full countertop or cabinet replacements run one to three days depending on scope. We’ll give you a specific timeline when you book, and we stick to it. Call (254) 272-5876 to schedule.
